Pulmonary Care

Our pulmonary care program is designed to evaluate and treat patients with acute and chronic lung disorders, such as bronchitis, emphysema, asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Our patients get and stay healthy through advanced diagnostics, lifestyle changes, education, medication and therapy.

Ventilator Management
CJW provides ventilator management for pulmonary patients from neonates to geriatrics.

Sleep Lab

Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Many patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease become weak and short of breath. The pulmonary rehab team helps patients strengthen their respiratory muscles through exercise training. Pulmonary rehab can also include education, smoking cessation programs, nutritional counseling and oxygen therapy. For more information, please call 804-323-8857.

Pulmonary Function Testing Lab
CJW's PFT Lab performs lung volume tests to measure lung capacity and gas flow rates, and respiratory gas diffusion to see how well gases are exchanged in the lungs. The lab also tests mechanics to measure how much strength the respiratory muscles can generate.

Bronchoscopy Lab
Patients can have lung diseases and disorders diagnosed using a flexible bronchoscope which is inserted through the nose.
