Inpatient Programs and Education

We teach you the "survival skills" you'll need to manage your diabetes at home. Inpatient programs are designed to bridge the gap until more in-depth education can take place on an outpatient basis.

Managing Your Diabetes

You will need to learn how to help your doctor manage your diabetes. This may include giving yourself insulin or other medications, monitoring your blood glucose, and being on the look-out for acute and chronic complications.

But much of what you need to know isn't medical at all. You'll need to know how to balance food, exercise, and activity in order to feel your best. Meal planning will involve reading food labels and being more aware of what you order in restaurants.
