Maternity & Baby ServicesBabypalooza 2010 is coming! Learn more about our Baby Expo at Johnston-Willis Hospital. Both the Chippenham and Johnston-Willis campuses of CJW Medical Center have outstanding maternity services available to deliver and care for your newborn baby. Services include:
Johnston-Willis Birthing Facilities - Spacious & BeautifulOur Johnston-Willis Campus has the largest single-room maternity center in Virginia with 24 spacious LDRP rooms. This means when moms-to-be come to CJW Johnston-Willis to have a baby, the whole process - labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum - takes place in your private room.
And because we practice "family-centered care," your family members and friends are welcome to be with you during the delivery of your baby, and there are no set hours for visitation. New moms can keep their babies in their room, or use the Newborn Nursery. Our Chippenham Campus has been Delivering Babies for Over 30 yearsChippenham Medical Center has a long tradition of providing obstetric care to the Richmond area and surrounding communities since 1972. You will have your baby in one of our newly renovated, spacious labor and delivery rooms. After recovery, you will continue your stay in one of our newly renovated, private postpartum rooms conveniently located near the Nursery and NICU. During your entire stay, you will be cared for and supported by our expert team of obstetric nurses and physicians. Children are allowed to visit the Maternal Infant Units at both Chippenham and Johnston-Willis campuses as long as they are symptom free of any illness. Visitors to the NICUs on both campuses are limited to those over age 12 due to infection control concerns with these vulnerable patients. 4-D Ultrasound Gives Parents & Perinatologists Detailed Fetal Information
Perinatology is a subspecialty of obstetrics and gynecology. Our Perinatal Centers deliver individualized care for pregnant women at risk for adverse maternal, fetal or neonatal outcomes. The specialty has experienced dramatic improvements of late, due in part to high resolution imaging and technology. A powerful new ultrasound tool called a 4D ultrasound gives perinatologists a better view of possible abnormalities. The new tool allows physicians to detect or rule out any number of issues, from vascular abnormalities to genetic syndromes. See "Perinatology" on the menu at the top of this page for more information about this subspecialty and what it can do for you. |
